Impact, Scratch and Soil Resistant Ceiling Tiles

Overview

Durable ceiling tiles are impact resistant, scratch resistant and soil resistant.

Ceilings represent a substantial investment and are required to remain ‘fit for purpose’ for the whole of building life. Durability is part of our commitment to sustainability and protects the investment of the end user. Selection of the right material and system is fundamental to ensuring the ceiling remains both functional and maintaining its good visual. Durability extends to the following “resistance” performance attributes: Impact, Scratch, Soil, and Humidity. At Armstrong, we are commitment to supplying the correct material and solution to meet the specific requirements of your project.

Durable ceilings are ideal for:

Impact resistance

Ceilings that stand up to what life throws at them. Ideal for spaces like school gymnasiums, cafeterias, and other areas that need to withstand occasional abuse.

Scratch resistance

Ceiling tiles that won’t show wear and tear from frequent plenum access. Ideal for corridors and other areas where frequent plenum access is necessary to maintain HVAC, other building systems, and more.

Scratch resistant ceilings are ideal for:

Soil resistance

Soil resistant ceilings maintain their appearance, acoustics, and light reflectance.Dirt accumulation not only detracts from a ceiling’s appearance but can cost money by requiring painting or replacement of the ceiling. In addition to reducing acoustical efficiency, soiling can cause a substantial reduction in light reflectance. Most high light reflectant ceilings provide excellent soil resistance for lasting value and performance.

Humidity

Ceilings in Australia and New Zealand are required to remain dimensionally stable even in environments where the air conditioning is inactive for long periods of time. All Armstrong products are designed to withstand such conditions. Some environments, such as indoor swimming pools require even higher degrees of humidity resistance.
